A free six-week online course to boost motivation, energy, and mood.

What we cover:

  • Understanding depression and breaking the cycle of low mood
  • Balancing daily activities for better wellbeing
  • Planning your day effectively
  • The link between physical activity and mental health
  • Overcoming barriers to motivation
  • Maintaining progress and spotting early warning signs

Building Resilience with Long-Term Health Conditions

Our free six-week course giving you practical skills to manage your health and wellbeing when living with a long-term condition. This course is over Zoom, on the same day and time each week. There is a Q&A feature where you can ask our facilitators your questions. 

What we cover:

  • How symptoms of anxiety can mimic our physical health conditions.
  • How to understand and overcome barriers to achieving our wellbeing goals.
  • Finding the right level of activity for you.

Embracing The Change: Emotional Wellbeing for Menopause 

This online two-session course gives you techniques to manage the range of thoughts, feelings, and physical changes that you may experience with menopause.

What we cover:

  • Symptoms and causes of perimenopause and menopause  
  • An introduction to a CBT view of perimenopause and menopause 
  • Techniques to manage symptoms of menopause 
  • Tips for clothing, bedding, diet, libido and making positive changes 

This course is two sessions over Zoom, on the same day and time each week. Each session lasts for one and a half hours. You can ask our facilitators your questions through the Q&A feature.

A free six-week online course to help you feel calmer, more positive, and cope better with life’s challenges.

What we cover:

  • How to break the cycle of frustration, panic, and anxiety
  • How thoughts and feelings are linked
  • Challenging unhelpful patterns
  • Techniques to boost motivation and overcome barriers
  • Problem-solving skills and ways to manage worries
  • Tips for maintaining positive changes

Surviving Being a Military Partner Course 

This four-session course is for anyone who is in a relationship with a serving member of the armed forces. We know how important it is to connect with others who understand, so the session includes peer support. These sessions are run in partnership with Anchoring Minds, Solent Mind's wellbeing support service for military families.

  • Coping with deployment 
  • Tips and techniques for your wellbeing

Breathing Space 

This session focuses on relaxation and mindfulness techniques that you can use at any time. You can also find some of these techniques on our Relaxation Skills page. 

What we cover 

  • An introduction to CBT 
  • Relaxation techniques including controlled breathing and progressive muscle relaxation  
  • Introduction to mindfulness

Living with Uncertainty 

This session focuses on how anxiety and uncertainty can trigger worries and affect our wellbeing.  

What we cover:

  • An introduction to CBT 
  • How to build your tolerance of uncertainty 
  • How to manage worries 
  • Managing anxiety as it happens and in future situations

Managing Your Mood and Sugar Levels  

This session looks at the impact of living with diabetes or pre-diabetes. We consider the connection between the mind and body and how our thoughts, emotions and physical symptoms are all connected and can impact our wellbeing.  

This one-and-a-half-hour session is over Zoom. There is a Q&A feature where you can type your questions to the facilitators. You can find more information in our patient area.   

What we will cover 

  • Everyday challenges 
  • CBT technieques to manage issues such as worry, tension and stress  

If you feel that you would like further support following your session, we will explain some additional treatment options and how to access these.

Self-care for Carers 

How to look after yourself when you are an unpaid carer. 

What we cover 

  • An introduction to CBT 
  • Finding a balance between caring for others and yourself 
  • There is 30 minutes at the end so people can chat with each other and share their experiences 

This one and a half hour session is over Zoom. You can turn your camera and microphone on and take part in group discussions or watch and listen.  There is a Q&A feature where you can type your questions to the facilitators. You can find more information in our patient area.

Sleeping Soundly 

Struggling with sleep? This one-hour session covers:
